Amy and her husband, Mark, enjoy life with their two teens and a rotating array of pets in a home on a hill in O’Hara Township. They feed the birds, admire grazing deer and turkey, and listen closely at night for owls calling in the woods. Amy hails from upstate New York and earned a B.A. from Hope College and M.A. from Youngstown State University. She and Mark met while teaching English in Taiwan and have continued a globetrotting tradition throughout their 27 years of marriage and family life. Amy has worked in education and student development for 20 years in churches and home school groups as well as at local community colleges, Point Park College, Geneva College and Carnegie Mellon University. After 10 years as a member at Elfinwild Presbyterian Church, she is grateful and excited to have the opportunity to work day in and day out with the wonderful children and families here at Elfinwild and in the communities it serves. The goal? Getting to know Jesus more and more each day.  Amy’s favorite movie is On Golden Pond, favorite snack-- Ruffles Reduced Fat potato chips (with dip), favorite cathedral—Ely in England, favorite praise song—His Name is Wonderful, and favorite Muppets character—Kermit, of course!
